With more than 500 full-time students distributed among nine courses of education, and a corresponding number of students on short courses, NISS is one of the largest educational centre for stage and studio, film and art subjects in the Nordic countries.

NISS is located in the centre of the city of Oslo and has provided specialised vocational training since 1984.

Students at NISS are given unique opportunities to participate in various projects and to collaborate with students undertaking other forms of training. Such collaborations enhance the understanding of interdisciplinary aspects and promote the formation of a common professional platform across the different courses of study.

As all courses mentioned above are appliccable for loans from the Norwegian State Educational Loan Fund.

NISS TRAINING offers a number of different short courses and further education. The courses are intended for professionals, as well as for students who need additional credits when applying for admission to one of the full-time courses of education.

Fluency in norwegian is required.
